The Plague and I

The Plague and I are a full-service patchwork shop supplying a wide range of fabrics, patterns, tools and expert advice. 
When you set foot in our shop, you’ll be encouraged to express your personality through your fabric choices. We’ll help you achieve the quilt that your heart desires. Conveniently located in Canowindra’s historic main street, we stock all the supplies you need, and we help instruct you on how to complete the designs you envision.

Crafting and Quilting Classes

If you see the beautiful handmade quilts in our shop and wish you could reproduce them, ask about our quilting classes. All of those quilts are made by Debbie Guihot, whose quilts have been featured in many Australian magazines. We hold classes to better equip our customers with becoming incredible quilters. Quilts for Others 
Each month, we spend a day meeting to create quilts for locals who are in need. Past beneficiaries have included Moyne Aged Care, various charities and bush fire relief. Join us during our next meeting; it’s a great chance to meet and have a chat while learning quilting skills and benefiting the community! Call us for more information about our next meeting. Materials will be supplied.

At The Plague and I, we offer all the supplies and instruction you need to become a master quilter. 
From reproductions, kids brights and contemporary Aboriginal designs to patchwork patterns and tools, we can help you achieve the quilt your heart desires.

While you are in the shop, check out the quilts and craft items that are handmade by Debbie Guihot. Debbie has been featured in many Australian magazines with her unique quilt designs. A range of quilts are for sale, or you can sit down and discuss a bespoke piece of work.

Classes & Instruction
At The Plague and I, we offer quilting groups that are suitable for all abilities. Whether you’re just beginning to learn or you’ve been quilting for years, we can provide instruction to help you learn and grow. We can help you with the basics of quilting, including pressing, creating borders, binding, stitching and more. We have access to professional quilting services of an excellent standard.
